YCamp challenge P2

Continue with my reflection about Ycamp Challenge!!!

The next person taught me a lot is my BBH buddy!!!I knew him before this camp, from Y Confidence! And I promise that he has changed!!!May be its the responsibility of taking care of a person who is less fortunate than him in many ways, that stirred up the changes in him!!!He helped me a lot!Without him, I really didnt know how to help my SCAS buddy in stuff like toileting, bathing and sleeping, and sometimes even walking!!! My BBH buddy is the best lah!!!At the end of the camp, I wrote him a note!!!I asked God for very long before I decided to give him cos I thought it was a bit cheesy for guys like him!!! But then God reminded me that like every one else, he also had his own emotions and stuff, its just that whether he wanted to express it or not!!! And if he couldnt find the words to say, as a volunteer, I should be the one taking the initiative rite!!!I know that I did the rite thing!!!When we sent all the beneficiaries off, I saw him lingering around, kinda having something to say!!!So I came over and talked to him!I think both of us knew what he was feeling rite then and what he wanted to say!!!But as I said, he just didnt get used to express his feelings verbally so....Its okay for me!!!The greatest thing is that he told me he wouldnt mind coming back for Ycamp!!!!Thats more than any words already!!!Sooo heart warming!!!And I pray that as he continued with his life, especially after he gets discharged, he will be able to find someone to hold him accountable all the time!!! And most of all, he will be able to realize the purpose of his life, that he is not just anyone, he is really someone for the people around him!!!I feel a bit sad cos the chance for me to meet him again or even get updating about his life is realy slim!!!That's the flip side for volunteer work I guess!!! There are so many people, so many lives that have touched me, moved me and impacted me deeply; yet its really hard to meet them again to see how the future unfolds for them, to see how my volunteer work has changed the course of their lives, even the slightest!!!But I will keep them all in prayer!!!And I pray that God will find them!!!

And I thank God for Nymph (My group's name) and other volunteers!!!We came together, all from different walks of life!!!We were strangers at first!!!But as we all focused ourselves on serving the beneficiaries, we were drawn closer!!!And at the end of the camp, on the bus back to YMCA, we got so HIGH!!!!haha!!!The guys even created a band and kept singing for the whole journey!!!Will keep in touch with everyone through FB k!!!Hope that Julia will fininsh the compilation of contacts soon!!!And hope to see everyone in the next YCamp!!!

And this is the cool thinga about volunteering with YMCA!!! We have devotion every morning!!!Soooo COOOL!!!Its not compulsory lah!!!And God did really speak to me and guide me through out the whole camp

!!!I was soooo amazed!!! Like how on the first day, I felt a bit scared because different people had very different ways of working!!!But then the next day during devotion, after reading a passage in Hebrews, God taught me to be like-minded with the people I'm working with!And I realized we all came to the camp with one purpose, with one attitude, that of service!!!So as I shifted to focus from ourselves to serve God through serving the people around me, I felt a deep joy, that no conflicts can destroy!!!Thank Godddd!!!!

I'm really considering coming for next YCamp eh!!!But it will be in June!!!And next year J2!!!Still have IU trip for interact to Malaysia!!!Haiz!!!!The Lord be my guide!!!!

Oh yeahhhhhhhh!!!AND RHEMA IS JUST SUPERBBBBB!!!The com put in huge effort I can tell!!!Today will be the first nite for Pre-Christians!!!!Will be going with Vincent!!!Hopefully Manning and JLou can come as well!!!And Julian (to find his purpose in life)!!!!I'm pushing very hard!!!And as I saw Ming Zhe just anyhow walked into the first night yesterday and decided to join for the rest of the nite, I knew God was really moving, through this generation, using us to touch the unchurched!!!Lord, I pray that You will use me in all possible ways so that by all means, they will get saved!!!!

EXCITED FOR RHEMA!!!!And to see Jess acting!!!!

Pray for Ngan's recovery and Sher's safe trip!!!
